Good Lord…this book ya’ll! I was instantly drawn in the moment Sophia stepped out of the pages, and then when Damon made his entrance? Let me tell you I absolutely devoted this book is less than 24 hours, I could not put it down. I loved how sassy and whitty Sophia is, she is not afraid to stand up for herself and say what she wants, she refuses to settle for anything less. While Damon is a domineering, possessive alpha, he is also a bit of a cinnamon roll when it comes to Sophia. The chemistry between these two characters can be felt on every single page. I did enjoy the spice, I would have enjoyed maybe a tiny bit more b.d.s.m BUT there is going to be another book in this series and I feel like this really set things up for the what happens next. Siennas writing was descriptive and really pulled you in, staying with the main plot and there was not “fluff” or “filler” to the story. I highly highly recommend this and cannot wait for the next book!

    Wow! This is an absolutely delicious read. It's also part of a series that I've not had the chance to check out, but I'm going to remedy that ASAP. Damon has a darkness to him and he likes to keep people at arms length. Sophia is the wild child of the family who isn't really wild but she's tired of living on the outside of life. I love her determination and her sass, and I'm excited to see where their romance goes. The story can be read as a stand alone, but it does end on a cliffhanger. I also feel like I could understand things better if I'd read the rest of the books set in this world so that's what I'm going to do while I wait for the next one.

    Sienna Snow's take on the captivating Midnight Dynasty world of Morellis and Constantines is a delightful addition to the series. While I'm a devoted fan of the drama, elite antics, and charismatic antiheroes in this alluring world, I was particularly intrigued by her portrayal of Sophia, the middle Morelli sister.

    In prior books, Sophia may have been overshadowed by her more demanding siblings. Sienna Snow gives us a character who is a bit of a chamelon, she presents herself as what to people expect including her family. Sophia's Morelli calcified baggage adds complexity to her character but also her equal parts innocence and desire. Although her backstory is hinted at, there's a promise of more exploration in future installments.

    Damon, the male lead, comes across as somewhat one-dimensional and an engima, there author doesn’t not spend much time giving us insight to Damon. While his obsession with Sophia is apparent, his past baggage and sexy lover persona are explored in what has come a common BDSM Vibe in erotic romance. The connection between Damon and Sophia, though lusty, feels somewhat rushed, and their relational evolution could benefit from more emotional depth. It leaves me hoping that book 2 will give us a story and more in depth character arch.

    Despite this, the last 20% of the book provides an engaging and exciting twist as the secondary plot unfolds. The potential for the relationship to evolve further is evident, and the chemistry between Lucian and Damon adds an entertaining dynamic. As the story progresses, I'm eager to see where the next installment takes us, especially with the promise of more Morelli cameos, which are always a favorite.

    Ok this book gave not like other girls with a dash of virginal magic. If I ignore that the "experienced" Dom who doesn't follow his own rules was a bit stressful. The will they won't I'm a bad man stay away from me was a bit much. I wonder if it would have read different if Sophia wasn't a virgin and newbie sub. Either way the power dynamics was pretty lopsided and felt really messy. My guess is her being labeled as a brat and head strong was supposed to get around that. Or perhaps the silver lining was that there's always negotiation that needs to happen. The sideline of Maria's death was really uncomfy. Needless to say if you like broody obsessive alpha holes this might work for you.

To see more of the Morelli background come to light, and realize what Damon is carrying truly broke my heart. We’ve seen all of those kids walk through abuse, and come out the other side. I love the Morellis. Each story was so well written. I can’t wait for more!

    I'm no stranger to the Morelli Constantine universe and I have to say so far, I like the series. I'm a huge fan of our FMC Sophie, she's head strong, independent and cares deeply for others around her. I also enjoyed the relationship dynamics between our 2 MCs.

    In terms of the plot, there wasn't much happening until right at the end, however it was a short, fast paced novel so I didn't really mind. Ends on a bit of a cliff hanger so I'm keen to get stuck into the next one. So far so good, happy reading!
